St. Augustin - a Roman priest (kněz) who brought Christianity to England and became a first Archbishop of Canterbury

The Anglos, The Saxons and Jutes were Germanic tribes that invaded (vpadnout) Britain in the middle of the 5th century
king Ecgbert (from Wessex)
- united 7 Anglo-saxon kingdoms in 829 AD and became the first king of England, he established England
- he had problems with invaders: Vikings succeeded in some areas by the sea
